Breaking news not only for Capetonians but also all those who love to visit the Mother City!
Thanks to tremendous efforts by residents, visitors and of course thanks to heavy rainfall the City of Cape Town was able to announce recently that “Day Zero” has been pushed back even further. Should you have been following our social media platforms you may have already witnessed the amount of rain that poured down over the last weeks. Due to all those factors we shall not see a “Day Zero” anytime in 2018 nor 2019.
Throughout the last approximately 6 weeks the dam levels have risen steadily and currently stand at approximately 48,3% (compared to 24,3% in June 2017). Those dam levels are set to increase even more with the rainfall that we saw over the weekend.
Whilst such news may encourage you to celebrate we do still encourage all Capetonians as well as visitors to keep respecting current water restrictions. Just as many other Capetonians went the extra mile and made the necessary arrangements to provide water sourced from alternative sources, we did set up our own water filtration to minimize the potential impact should any shortage arise. We will continue to do our utmost to ensure you will have a very pleasant stay at 14 ON KLEIN CONSTANTIA and within the given limits set out by the City of Cape Town don’t feel affected.
